Here at Catori, our relationship with CBD began in a garden in the mountains of Colorado, with a few special seeds.  The seeds turned into four healthy plants and by that fall the first hemp crop was harvested.  Handcrafting the first balms and extracts from the plants that grew from those special seeds instilled a deep appreciation for the wonders of CBD and also appreciation for the time, energy and care required to successfully turn seeds into effective, quality remedies.  Over the following years the CBD industry sprang to life and then grew at an astounding rate and we’re proud to be a part of the growing industry. 

As time passed, others’ pop-up hemp farms would spring to life one season, only to die the next.  Hay fields and pasture turned to acres of plastic mulch dotted with small hemp plants.  Farms expanded so quickly that they couldn’t maintain their crops and come autumn, they struggled to properly harvest, dry, cure or process what they had managed to grow.  Hemp farming didn’t appear an enticing endeavor, but it was becoming increasingly apparent that there was a real need for quality, hand-grown, carefully crafted CBD botanicals.  Within every industry there is a niche for the fine-crafted… with years of experience in small-scale craft cultivation and botanical formulations, it was now our niche to fill for CBD.

Catori was born with a dedication to excellence;  a commitment to maintaining a close connection with the plant, the process, and the people, every step of the way.  We’re proud that our hemp is estate-grown on the Catori farm using regenerative agriculture and organic practices. Hemp is a bio-accumulator, which means it can concentrate toxins and heavy metals from the soil within its plant tissue, so organic cultivation on historically organic land is critically important for CBD wellness products.  Crafting pinnacle quality products requires diligence, dedication, and passion.  We’re meticulous throughout the entire process so that we can say, “unparalleled purity” with confidence.
